Soldier of the Month

Last month we were able to send three boxes each to our lady soldiers stationed outside of Baghdad. This month we will be supporting Alma Rayne’s grandson SPC Christopher Patrician. You can donate hard candies, wet wipes,  instant mix beverages that they can add to their canteens, letters of encouragement are always appreciated.

Live Music with Greg Gunderson

Greg is a our favorite one man band who will entertain us with a variety of music.

Music Recital

Darlene Rose, a local music instructor, will be having her student recital at the Center.  She extends an invitation to all our members to come and enjoy their performance. May 30th at 6:00pm. Free.

New Caregiver Support Group

Meeting in Duvall

Our Social Worker Tammy Clark is excited to announce a new caregivers support group starting May 12th  at the Duvall Wreck Center. The City of Duvall is allowing us the use of this facility in order to offer this important service in. If you know of anyone who is facing the challenges and rewards of caregiving, this free program is designed to help them be successful. No registration necessary. 2nd Monday of every month from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm  May 12th 7:00-8:00pm Free.

 Wish list:

·          16 gallon totes (or larger) for basement storage

·          A small secure storage facility for archival documents

·          A carpenter to help adjust and install cabinets

·          A 2nd lawn mower volunteer, to share lawn mowing duties with Art Grabb. Our neighbor Jim Berg is providing the lawn mower.

·          A new digital camera

 Flower Arranging

Spring is here and our gardens are blooming-but what to do with all those blossoms? Attend our flower arranging class with Steve Hadden. Mondays June 2nd through 30th 1:30-3:00 $25.00

 Write a Song with Levi

Courtesy of the Carnation library. This is an intergenerational workshop to share in the creation of writing a song. No experience necessary just bring your imagination.

Book Reading-Check List Cooking

Author Janice Van Dyke will be here to demonstrate her check list cookbook designed to make cooking safer and more fun for those of us who are a little forgetful. May 7th 11:00am. Free.
